British heavyweight Dillian Whyte didn’t mince words when asked about a potential clash between IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) and veteran Dereck Chisora (36-13, 23 KOs).
"No, he won’t fight Dereck Chisora. Dubois won’t take that fight, no. Dubois would kill Dereck. He could literally die. I’m serious.
Right now, there are bigger and better fights for Dubois. It’s just business. Dereck Chisora is at the bottom of the list. At the top are other, stronger fighters," Whyte said in an interview with SecondsOut.
As a reminder, the International Boxing Federation (IBF) is expected to order Dubois to make a mandatory title defense against Chisora on April 22. However, a unification bout between Dubois and Oleksandr Usyk would take precedence over that mandate.
