Did Usyk Use an Inhaler During the Fight? Answered by Cutman

Oleksandr Usyk's cutman and Ready To Fight ambassador, Russ Anber, addressed the rumors that the Ukrainian used an inhaler during his fight against Tyson Fury.

- In the middle of the fight, starting from the fourth, fifth, and sixth rounds, many people online agreed that Tyson was very close to stopping Usyk. We saw Tyson pressuring Oleksandr. People on Twitter were saying it was 'a matter of time before Tyson stops him.' Then, it seems, before the seventh round, there is a video circulating on the internet that claims Usyk was given some sort of inhaler. My understanding is that it was a cross. Can you explain what it was? Around the seventh round, he went to his corner, and the translation goes: he asked his coach or his coach asked if he wanted the cross. He kissed what I believe was a cross.

- It was a cross. No need to speculate. It was a cross; he wore it to the ring. You could see it during his ring walk, it was on his chest. He wore it to the ring, it’s his faith. And he kissed the cross before the fight began.

He kissed the cross because I gave it to him to kiss before the fight started, and I kissed it myself. Then he kissed it in the corner. I won’t say things that will anger me, forget about it. These people are garbage, said Anber.

Ultimately, Usyk turned the tide of the fight and defeated Fury by decision, becoming a two-time undisputed champion.
