On the night of October 15-16, Melbourne (Australia) hosted a fight for the title of absolute world champion in lightweight. The current title holder, American Devin Haney (29-0; 15 KOs) and local boxer George Kambosos (20-2; 10 KOs) entered the ring.
Throughout the fight, working as the second number, the champion managed to simply break the opponent's defense, leaving him no chance. There were successful attacks from the applicant, but their number clearly did not correspond to the level of such a battle.
As a result, by unanimous decision of the judges (119-109; 118-110; 118-110), the current holder of the absolute champion title won.
Haney's next opponent, under certain circumstances, could be Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko (16-2; 11 KOs), who will fight on October 29 at Madison Square Garden in the USA.
