WBC super lightweight champion on recess, Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs), shared his thoughts on the strongest opponent he has faced in his career.
- Your performance against Regis Prograis was perhaps one of your best. Or was that the peak version of Devin Haney we saw?
- The better the opponent, the better I perform. Plus, I’m constantly improving. You saw that against Lomachenko, a Hall of Famer. Facing the best brings out the best in me.
- You just mentioned Vasyl Lomachenko, whom you defeated, and you’ve also beaten Prograis. Which fight do you consider the toughest so far?
- I’d say the fight with Loma. He’s undoubtedly a Hall of Famer. He had many tools and extensive experience, which made me a better fighter, Haney said.
