The bout between Ukrainian middleweight contender Sergiy Derevyanchenko (14-5, 10 KOs) and Mexican Jaime Munguia (42-0, 33 KOs) has been recognized as the best fight of 2023 by fame site, Boxing Scene.

The showdown took place in June 2023, where Derevyanchenko lost to Munguia in a closely contested bout by unanimous decision. The WBC Silver title in the second middleweight division was at stake.
