Sergiy Derevyanchenko Returns to the Ring on 1 July (BoxRec)

According to BoxRec, former world-title challenger and super-middleweight contender Sergiy Derevyanchenko (15-6, 10 KO), 39, will step back through the ropes on 1 July in Nashville, USA.

The Ukrainian will face 38-year-old American Jeremy Ramos (14-15, 4 KO).

The bout is scheduled for eight rounds and marks Derevyanchenko’s first action since losing a decision to Christian Mbilli.

Last summer the Ukrainian tangled with the French puncher, injuring his hand early and dropping a points verdict. Talks of a return never materialised—Mbilli is instead slated to meet Maciej Sulecki next in Canada.
