Ukrainian super middleweight Sergiy Derevyanchenko has spoken out following Saul “Canelo” Alvarez’s recent bout against William Scull — a fight widely criticized as one of the least action-packed title bouts in recent memory.
“That boxing weekend aftertaste? Not great. Tired of boring fights? Give me a fight with Canelo.
Or at least let one of the indecisive ones give me a rematch — I’ll show you what real boxing looks like…” Derevyanchenko wrote on social media.
The Ukrainian boxer included fight posters featuring Gennadiy Golovkin, Carlos Adames, Jaime Munguia, Daniel Jacobs, Christian Mbilli, and Jermall Charlo, all with the same caption:
“They never gave me a rematch.”
Derevyanchenko last fought in summer 2024, dropping a decision to Christian Mbilli after sustaining an early injury in the fight.
