Derek Chisora Names Opponent for Dillian Whyte’s Farewell Fight

41-year-old British Heavyweight Derek Chisora has shared his thoughts on who he would like to see face his countryman Dillian Whyte in a farewell bout.

According to the veteran, the perfect opponent for Whyte’s final fight would be fellow Brit Joe Joyce, with the clash staged at York Hall in London.

Listen, I want to see Dillian and Joe Joyce fight — a farewell bout at York Hall,” Chisora said.

Chisora (36-13, 23 KOs) and Whyte (31-4, 21 KOs) met twice, with Whyte winning both encounters: first by split decision in December 2016, and then by 11th-round knockout in December 2018.

On August 16, the 37-year-old Whyte was knocked out in the opening round by Moses Itauma.

39-year-old Joe Joyce (16-4, 15 KOs) last stepped into the ring in April, when he dropped a unanimous decision to Filip Hrgovic.
