Derek Chisora, the British heavyweight, has backed world lightweight champion Devin Haney to win his upcoming fight against Vasyl Lomachenko, the former three-weight world champion.
"Devin outwitted his last opponents. Every time they get close, he throws his jab – eat that. He retreats – eat. And every time he wants to hit, his jab goes through."
“It works for him. When he opens with a jab, then everything else adds up. But most fighters want to throw five combos together before they throw the jab,” Chisora said.
We would like to remind you that Lomachenko has been training in the USA for several weeks now, preparing for his upcoming fight against Haney. Earlier, there was information that the fight was scheduled for May 20th in Las Vegas. However, Haney has expressed his desire to fight Lomachenko in Saudi Arabia instead.
In his last fight, Lomachenko defeated American boxer Jemaine Ortiz. This was the Ukrainian's first and only match in the past 10 months.
On the other hand, Haney retained his WBC, WBA Super, IBF, and WBO lightweight titles by defeating George Kambosos in their fight last October.
