Insider: Deontay Wilder to Return on June 27

Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (43-4-1, 42 KOs) is set to return to the ring on June 27, according to ESPN insider Mike Coppinger.

Wilder will face fellow American Tyrrell Herndon (24-5, 15 KOs) in a 10-round bout scheduled to take place in Wichita, USA.

This will be Wilder’s first appearance since June 2024, when he suffered a fifth-round knockout loss to Zhilei Zhang — his fourth defeat in his last five fights.

Tyrrell Herndon, meanwhile, enters the matchup riding a three-fight winning streak, with his most recent victory coming in May 2024 against Rudy Silvas.
