Former WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder (43-4-1, 42 KOs) has revealed which of his knockouts stands out as the most meaningful to him.
“I think my favorite knockout was over Dominic Breazeale, because of the intensity of the moment and the whole story leading up to it.
You all know — back then there was a lot of false talk about me, people trying to blow up my reputation in boxing.
At press conferences, they judged me not as a man.
To understand someone, you really have to get to know them,” Wilder said.
In May 2019, Wilder knocked out Dominic Breazeale in the first round. Wilder’s next opponent will be Tyrrell Herndon, with the fight scheduled for June 27 in the United States.
