Deontay Wilder Fought Parker and Zhang with Serious Injury

Former heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder (43-4-1, 42 KOs) revealed that he entered the ring against interim WBO champion Joseph Parker (35-3, 23 KOs) and Zhilei Zhang (27-2-1, 22 KOs) with a broken arm, unbeknownst to him.

"I broke my arm back in November. I didn't know. I had two tears in my shoulder. I felt pain but thought it was old injuries. However, I recently had an MRI, and everything was really messed up. I didn't know because I have a high pain tolerance," Wilder told TMZ Sports.

In December 2023, Wilder lost to Parker by unanimous decision, and in June of this year, he was defeated by Zhang via a fifth-round technical knockout.
