Denys Berinchyk to Defend Title on Usyk-Fury Undercard

Ukrainian WBO lightweight champion and Ready to Fight ambassador Denys Berinchyk (19-0, 9 KOs) will defend his title against Britain’s Joe Cordina (17-1, 9 KOs).

The fight will take place on December 21 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the Usyk-Fury undercard.

“This is history in the making. A defense is coming soon. WBO, we’re waiting for good news,” Berinchyk wrote.

In May, Berinchyk secured a split decision victory over Emanuel Navarrete. On October 12, Cordina was scheduled to face WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson, but the fight was canceled due to an injury to the American.
