Promoter Oscar De La Hoya tossed a hint about Saul Alvarez's next opponent for the spring ring dance:

"Jaime's finally on the boxing map. He's earned a shot at the self-proclaimed king, Saul Alvarez. That's the bout that's gotta happen.

My bet's on Canelo squaring up with Jermall Charlo come May. That's the word around. I see Canelo winning and lining up a Mexican showdown for September.

It's been ages since we've had a top-tier Mexican dust-up like Morales-Barrera," De La Hoya quipped.

In his last episode, Alvarez clinched a unanimous decision victory over Jermall Charlo. Earlier, in the fall of 2023, Jermall showcased his boxing prowess, outmaneuvering Jose Benavidez to a judges' decision win.
