“We Can Reach an Agreement.” De La Hoya on Ortiz vs. Ennis

Oscar De La Hoya, head of Golden Boy Promotions and promoter of interim WBC Junior Middleweight champion Vergil Ortiz, has commented on the potential fight between his fighter and interim WBA titleholder Jaron Ennis.

“Money won’t be an issue, because we’ll have the resources. I’ll sit down at the negotiating table with Eddie Hearn, and of course, we’ll have the advantage because (Vergil Ortiz) is the better fighter. We’ll see if we can reach an agreement. I’m sure we will,” De La Hoya said.

As a reminder, on the night of November 9, Vergil Ortiz (24-0, 22 KOs) defeated Erickson Lubin via second-round technical knockout. After the fight, Ortiz faced off in the ring with Jaron Ennis (35-0, 31 KOs).
