Golden Boy Promotions founder Oscar De La Hoya has extended an offer to WBO super lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez, expressing interest in promoting the fighter and helping him reach new heights.
“Teofimo Lopez, bro, if you don’t have a promoter — call me.
I can give you guidance and look out for your interests. Let’s make you the PPV star you deserve to be,” De La Hoya wrote.
This comes shortly after Lopez publicly apologized to Turki Alalshikh, the head of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, following a social media controversy.
On May 2, Lopez scored a unanimous decision victory over Arnold Barboza, reaffirming his place among the division’s elite.
