Streaming platform DAZN has responded to the behavior of Scottish former junior welterweight champion Josh Taylor (19-1, 13 KOs) and British boxer Jack Catterall (28-1, 13 KOs). The two held press conferences dedicated to their rematch, where Catterall grabbed his opponent by the throat during the first, and Taylor called his opponent a "f###ing brake," resulting in Catterall hitting him, in the second.
DAZN's official statement reads:
"DAZN does not condone the use of discriminatory language and reminds Josh Taylor of his responsibilities," the message stated.
The boxers first met in February 2022, with Taylor winning by a majority decision. The rematch is scheduled for April 27 at the First Direct Arena in Leeds.
