Chisora Hits Harder Than Joshua, Says David Allen

British heavyweight David Allen has named the fighter whose punches felt the most punishing during a bout.

“I think in terms of punching power... Derek Chisora. Of course, I don’t think he was the best overall, but in terms of raw power — it’s him.

His right hand was very heavy. Not the fastest, not very disguised. I could see it coming and brace for it — but I definitely felt it.

He’s a different kind of boxer compared to someone like Anthony Joshua. Joshua is much faster and sharper. Chisora hits harder.

Joshua gave me more problems during sparring, but in terms of sheer power, I give the edge to Chisora.”

In his most recent fight, Allen stopped Johnny Fisher in the fifth round.
