Former world champion American Danny Garcia (37-3, 21 KOs) says he would like his next fight to be against British welterweight boxer Conor Benn (23-0, 14 KOs).
"I would like to fight him at super welterweight (up to 69.85 kg). He wants to meet a big name. Garcia vs. Benn. There's no bigger fight than a bout with Danny Garcia. I would love to have this fight.
If the right amount is offered, I'd go anywhere.
I watched Benn's fight against Peter Dobson. I think he looked good. The guy he fought had skills. But stylistically, a fight against Benn is great for me. And it's a fight I would like to have at super welterweight, not at welterweight," Danny Garcia told YSM Sports Media.
Danny Garcia last fought in July 2022, defeating Jose Benavidez Jr. by split decision. Gervonta Davis is also a contender for a fight against Conor Benn, but he has yet to accept Eddie Hearn's terms.
