Daniel Lapin on How Many Fights Usyk Has Left

WBA Continental, WBO International, and IBF Inter-Continental Light Heavyweight champion Daniel Lapin shared his thoughts on the future of undisputed Heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk.

Judging by how Oleksandr went through his recent training camps, I’m sure he still has plenty of strength — to box at least five more fights, I would say.

But it depends on Oleksandr and his motivation. From everything I saw last time, I can tell he’s still capable and ready to beat absolutely anyone,” said Lapin.

On July 19, Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) knocked out Daniel Dubois in the fifth round to become undisputed world champion for the third time.

On the same card, Daniel Lapin (12-0, 4 KOs) defeated Lewis Edmondson (11-1, 3 KOs) by majority decision. Judges’ scores: 95-95, and twice 96-94 in Lapin’s favor.

Lapin’s next fight is scheduled for November 1 in Manchester, United Kingdom, against Troy Jones (12-1, 6 KOs).
