On December 21 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Ukrainian Daniel Lapin (11-0, 4 KOs) faced Frenchman Dylan Collin (14-1, 4 KOs) in a bout for the WBA Continental and vacant IBF International light heavyweight titles (up to 79.4 kg).
Lapin emerged victorious via unanimous decision. The judges scored the bout 100-90 and 99-91 twice in favor of Lapin.
This win ended Lapin’s streak of four consecutive stoppage victories. Meanwhile, it marked the first career loss for Collin.
In May, Daniel Lapin defeated Octavian Pudivitra with a first-round knockout. In December of last year, Dylan Collin claimed a unanimous decision win over Gaetan Ntambwe.
