Former British Heavyweight world champion Daniel Dubois has withdrawn from the IBF eliminator against Cuban contender Frank Sanchez, according to BoxingTalk.
The news surfaced just hours before the IBF was set to hold the purse bid today, November 20.
The winner of Dubois–Sanchez was expected to become the mandatory challenger for the IBF title, currently held by undisputed Heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs).
Daniel Dubois (22-3, 21 KOs) last fought in July, when he lost the IBF title to Usyk by fifth-round knockout.
Frank Sanchez (25-1, 18 KOs) last fought in February, stopping Ramon Echeverria via third-round TKO.
