Daniel Dubois Reunites with Don Charles

Don Charles, Daniel Dubois / Leigh Dawney, Queensberry Promotions

Former Heavyweight world champion Daniel Dubois has decided to return to the guidance of his long-time mentor Don Charles. This was reported by the Briton's business manager Riz Khan.

“On behalf of Team Dubois, I want to confirm to the media and all interested parties that Daniel has decided to resume his professional relationship with Don Charles and his coaching staff.

Don Charles and his team led Daniel to world champion status and guided the most successful period of his career. After the defeat to the undisputed Oleksandr Usyk, Daniel took time to reflect on his path and the emotions associated with the decision to part ways with Don.

After careful consideration and discussions with a wide range of the team, Daniel has decided to reverse this decision. Now Daniel will return to working with Don Charles, under whose guidance he achieved his greatest successes to date.

Further news regarding the next fight will be announced later,” the statement reads.

Daniel Dubois (22-3, 21 KOs) last entered the ring in July 2025, when he lost in a rematch to Oleksandr Usyk by knockout in the fifth round. In August, Daniel announced that he would be working with Tony Sims.
