IBF heavyweight world champion Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) has revealed the three fighters he’s targeting for his next bout—and Dereck Chisora (36-13, 23 KOs) is notably absent from the list, despite being named Dubois’ mandatory challenger by the IBF.
Among the names Dubois mentioned are unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs), WBO interim titleholder Joseph Parker (26-3, 24 KOs), and former unified champion Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs).
“Those are the names I want: Usyk, Parker, or AJ. One of the big three—that’s exactly what I’m after right now,.
I’ve heard people say I’ve been avoiding opponents after the Parker fight was canceled. But now I just want to knock someone out. Let them line up—I want them.
Stay tuned, guys. I’ll be back soon. I can’t wait to step into the ring again. I’m training full throttle. I’m just fired up,” Dubois said.
Dubois was originally set to defend his title against Joseph Parker on February 22, but was forced to withdraw due to illness.
