Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority chairman Turki Alalshikh, UFC president Dana White, and WWE president Nick Khan have signed an agreement to establish a new boxing promotion, aiming to revolutionize the sport.
«According to the official statement, this initiative will bring significant changes to boxing, including:
– A structured talent development system through academies and scouting events.
– Boxers gaining access to the UFC Performance Institute, the world's leading training, research, and rehabilitation center for combat sports.
– Leveraging TKO Group Holdings' expertise in event production, media, and promotion to create high-quality content and unforgettable boxing events.
Details regarding fighters, fight schedules, venues, and event locations will be announced in the coming months».
The agreement is essentially a partnership between Turki Alalshikh and TKO Group Holdings, the entity formed after the 2023 merger of WWE and Zuffa (UFC’s parent company). As a result, WWE and UFC now operate under the TKO brand, expanding their reach into the boxing world.
