Dalakyan will defend his title in Costa Rica

Artem Dalakyan may go to Costa Rica for his next fight. According to boxing scene, that is where, most likely, the Ukrainian will have to defend his WBA world champion title in the lightest weight. The opponent is the local undefeated boxer David Jimenez.

We will remind you that earlier the World Boxing Association obliged the Ukrainian athlete to hold the next fight against this fighter. And on August 31, the organization gave the parties 30 days to agree on the place and date of the fight. According to journalists, the negotiations are going well, and the teams of boxers hope that they will be able to avoid sending the fight to auctions.

As for Jimenez, he has already had three fights in 2022 and won two of them early. In the last of them, by decision of the judges, a victory was won over the American Ricardo Sandoval. This result allowed the Costa Rican to receive the status of a mandatory contender for the WBA belt.
