Dalakian and Jimenez had a battle of looks

Ukrainian WBA bantamweight champion Artem Dalakyan (21-0, 15 KOs) held a battle of looks with Costa Rican challenger David Jimenez (12-0, 9 KOs) in London.

The Ukrainian will defend the WBA belt on January 28 in London at Wembley. The fight will take place on the undercard of the fight between Artur Beterbiev and Anthony Yard.

34-year-old Dalakyan won the title of world champion in 2018. In November 2021, in a match against Luis Concepcion, the Ukrainian successfully defended the belt for the fifth time.

Jimenez defeated the American Ricardo Sandoval in a fight for the status of a mandatory contender for the WBA belt. According to the results of the match, the judges gave the victory to the Costa Rican by the majority of votes.
