Former cruiserweight champion (up to 90.7 kg) Steve Cunningham made his prediction for the fight between WBO, WBA, IBF, and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) and WBC champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs).
«Fury is a unique fighter in many areas.
His height – we don’t see many boxers standing at 2.1 meters. We don’t see many well-adapted world champions of that height moving like their opponents who are 1.85-1.88 meters tall, and generally having great skills in the ring.
Fury is very special, but he will be fighting another fighter who is equally unique – just smaller. With that in mind, I believe Usyk will win. Ukrainians are very strong in boxing right now.
I think this week during meetings with fighters, they will talk about Fury leaning on Usyk. I think Fury might get disqualified. It could happen,» said Cunningham.
Cunningham fought Fury – he knocked the Brit down but eventually lost by stoppage.
Usyk and Fury will clash for the undisputed championship on May 18.
