Cruz Ready for Garcia

WBA super lightweight champion (up to 63,5 kg) Mexican Isaac Cruz (26-2-1, 18 KOs) has responded to the challenge from American Ryan Garcia (25-1, 20 KOs).

"Ryan Garcia doesn't take things seriously. Even when he comes to the weigh-in, he's three pounds over his opponent.

He doesn't take anything seriously. He needs to be more focused in training, be more serious.

He called me out to fight? It's not the first time. He has said many times that he wants to fight. I'm ready and I want it too.

I'm ready to fight anyone. My team and I will make the best decision," said Cruz.

Isaac's next fight is scheduled for August 3rd. He will be defending his title for the first time in a fight against Jose Valenzuela (13-2, 9 KOs). Garcia in his last fight defeated another super lightweight champion, Devin Haney, and announced that he plans to move up to a heavier weight category.
