Isaac Cruz Snatches Title from Rolando Romero

On March 30th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, USA, WBA lightweight (up to 63,5 kg) champion Rolando Romero (15-2, 13 KOs) defended his title for the first time against Mexican boxer Isaac Cruz (26-2-1, 18 KOs).

The battle concluded with Cruz triumphing via technical knockout in the 8th round.

Romero clinched the title on May 13, 2023, against Ismael Barroso (25-4-2, 23 KOs) with a victory by technical knockout. In July of the same year, Cruz secured a win over Giovanni Cabrera (21-1, 7 KOs) by split decision from the judges.
