Official: Crocker–Donovan Rematch Will Be for a World Title

Matchroom Boxing has confirmed that the rematch between Lewis Crocker (21-0, 11 KOs) and Paddy Donovan (14-1, 11 KOs) will have the IBF Welterweight (66.7 kg) belt on the line.

The opportunity arose after Jaron Ennis officially vacated the title. Date and venue for the bout will be announced in due course.

Their first meeting took place on 1 March: late in the eighth round Donovan dropped Crocker, then, trying to finish the job, landed a punch after the bell. The referee disqualified Donovan on the spot.
