Crawford's Coach on the Bout Against Canelo: "Will Whip His Ass"

Brian McIntyre, the coach of American Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs), is confident his athlete can defeat the undisputed super middleweight champion (up to 76.2 kg) Saul Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs), even though Crawford would have to move up two weight classes for such a fight.

- How will Terence box against Canelo?

- He will whip his ass. Outbox him completely. Outbox him without a chance. Weight doesn't matter. Terence has been fighting bigger guys all his life.

Canelo's head movement? That's what we're here for. We're going to get through that shit. We don't care about his power; we're not going to take his punches. We're going to take his power away. Timing, timing... It will be Errol Spence vs. Crawford, part two.

- What do you say about Canelo's words that this fight is not profitable for him?

- I respect that, I understand. Because when you're beaten by a smarter guy, you look like an ass. True boxing fans know Terence Crawford can beat Canelo. He has a good boxing IQ, but he doesn't have the crazy boxing IQ that Terence has.

- What do you think about Canelo vs. Munguia?

- Canelo will stop him in ten rounds.

Alvarez is set to meet Jaime Munguia (43-0,34 KOs) on May 4th in Las Vegas. Crawford does not have an opponent yet. The last time he fought was in the summer of 2023, when he won by TKO against Errol Spence.
