Two-time undisputed world champion Terence Crawford says he’d be happy to share a card with Gervonta “Tank” Davis, if his potential fight with Saul “Canelo” Alvarez goes ahead in September—but doubts Tank would ever agree to it.
“That would be crazy. That would be dope.
“If Gervonta wasn’t too arrogant to be on the undercard of Terence Crawford, it would be cool.
But I don’t see Gervonta sitting in the back seat to anybody, because he’d feel like it’s his show. So I don’t know.
But it would be a great undercard.”
Crawford and Davis have had their share of public back-and-forth, including heated exchanges over hypothetical matchups. Gervonta once claimed that if his fist touched Crawford’s chin, it would be lights out—fueling a string of media clashes between the two.
With Canelo vs. Crawford rumored for September, the idea of both stars appearing on the same card—let alone the same ring—would be a blockbuster move for boxing.
