American boxer Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) gave his take on a potential fight between WBA super welterweight champion Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) and IBF welterweight titleholder Jaron Ennis (32-0, 29 KOs).
"I like Ennis. In my opinion, 'Boots' wins that fight. I don't think Crawford can keep up with someone that talented, young, and fast. I don't think so.
I haven't even seen him fight anyone who's young, talented, and fast. Have you? Can you name one? I think Ennis will whoop his ass. Not badly, but he’ll win... I’d pick youth," Garcia stated.
In July, Ennis secured a stoppage victory over David Avanesyan (30-5-1, 18 KOs). His next opponent could be either Karen Chukhadzhian (24-2, 13 KOs) or Serhii Bohachuk (24-2, 23 KOs).
In August, Terence Crawford moved up in weight and defeated Israil Madrimov (10-1-1, 7 KOs) via unanimous decision.
