Crawford to Face Winner of Tszyu vs. Fundora

According to The Ring magazine, two-time undisputed world champion American Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) has used his WBO "super champion" status in the welterweight division (up to 66.67 kg) to automatically become the mandatory challenger for the WBO world championship in the light middleweight division (up to 69.85 kg).

This title will be contested by Australian Tim Tszyu (24-0, 17 KOs) and American Sebastian Fundora (20-1-1, 13 KOs) on March 30th in Las Vegas. The winner will also claim the WBC world championship in the light middleweight division.

The "super champion" status allows a boxer, upon moving up in weight class, to immediately fight for the championship belt – ahead of any other contender.
