WBA, WBC, and WBO welterweight champ Terence Crawford threw a verbal jab back at WBO super lightweight titleholder Teofimo Lopez:

"Yo, Teofimo Lopez, you're punching above your weight—best of luck in your fight. Keep your eyes on the prize, 'cause your next rival ain't no pushover. Don't get caught daydreaming about me and end up looking foolish with your real troubles," Crawford tweeted.

Teofimo Lopez had thrown down the gauntlet earlier, claiming he was geared up to climb into the ring with Terence Crawford in the welterweight class. Early January saw the announcement of Teofimo's next adversary, setting the stage for a showdown on February 8 in Vegas.
