American boxer Terence Crawford addressed fans in his hometown of Omaha, promising victory over Canelo Alvarez in their September 13 clash in Las Vegas.
“I’m going to make it so that all those skeptics, in the end, at the end of the fight, they’ll all be crying when they go home. And I’m serious.
They keep talking about size, about me being the smaller guy. But look at the stage. All those big dudes — they’ve been my sparring partners my whole career. And I take punches every time we spar. And it’s okay,” said Crawford.
At stake in the Canelo–Crawford showdown will be the undisputed Super Middleweight championship, currently held by Alvarez. If victorious, Terence Crawford would become a three-time undisputed champion.
