WBC lightweight champion (up to 61.2 kg) Shakur Stevenson shared his thoughts on a potential fight between American Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) and Mexican Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs).
"I believe Terence will beat Canelo. Saul is an excellent and more sizable boxer, but Crawford is more skilled. Many will appreciate his boxing abilities if he showcases them in a fight with Canelo. I truly believe Crawford can handle Canelo," Stevenson said.
On the night of August 4, WBA, WBC, and WBO welterweight champion (up to 66.7 kg) Terence Crawford will move up in weight to contend for the WBA and interim WBO super welterweight titles (up to 69.9 kg) against Israil Madrimov (10-0-1, 7 KOs).
WBA, WBC, and WBO super middleweight champion (up to 76.2 kg) Saul Alvarez will defend his titles against Puerto Rican Edgar Berlanga (22-0, 17 KOs) on September 14.
