Crawford: “When Usyk Fought Fury, the Big Man Didn’t Win a Single Round”

WBA junior middleweight champion Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) addressed skepticism surrounding his upcoming fight against undisputed super middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (63-2-2, 39 KOs).

When Usyk fought Tyson Fury, Tyson was much bigger than Usyk — but the big man didn’t win a single round.

This fight will mean everything to me. It will be the culmination of everything I’ve worked for throughout my career — all in one moment, on one night of boxing, when the world will witness the greatness of Terence Crawford, who will do what once seemed impossible and unbelievable,” said Crawford.

The bout between Crawford and Canelo is set for September 12 in Las Vegas, USA. On the line: the undisputed super middleweight championship, currently held by Canelo Alvarez.
