American WBA, WBC, and WBO welterweight champion (up to 66.7 kg) Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) has shared his version of the pound-for-pound (P4P) ranking of the world's best boxers regardless of weight class.
Crawford placed himself and Ukrainian WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titleholder (over 90.7 kg) Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) at the top. He added:
"Usyk is a remarkable fighter who has achieved great success in boxing. I've always believed that Tyson Fury has reached his peak and cannot move up or down in weight classes. Usyk moved up in weight and continues to deliver high-level performances. In my opinion, he is the number one in the P4P rankings," Crawford said to K.O. Artist Sports.
In second place is the undisputed super bantamweight champion (up to 55.3 kg), Japanese fighter Naoya Inoue (27-0, 24 KOs), and in third is Mexican WBA, WBC, and WBO super middleweight champion (up to 76.2 kg) Saul Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs), who is a potential opponent for Terence.
Terence Crawford's next fight will be in the super welterweight division (up to 69.9 kg) against Israil Madrimov (10-0-1, 7 KOs) on August 3rd at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, USA. The bout will feature Madrimov's WBA title and the interim WBO champion belt. The schedule of media events for the show can be found at the provided link.
