Crawford: “If I Wanted Easy Money, I’d Agree to Fights with McGregor”

WBA super welterweight champion Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) fired back at critics who accused him of wanting to fight WBA, WBC, and WBO super middleweight champion Saúl Álvarez (62-2-2, 39 KOs) just for the money.

If I wanted easy money, I would’ve agreed to two fights with Conor McGregor, right? You’re all making up nonsense. Canelo can fight whoever he wants. If our fight becomes a reality, it’ll happen,” Crawford wrote on Twitter.

In August, Terence Crawford moved up a division and defeated Israil Madrimov (10-1-1, 7 KOs) by unanimous decision, claiming the WBA world title and interim WBO title at super welterweight. On September 14, Canelo scored a unanimous decision victory over Edgar Berlanga (22-1, 17 KOs).
