Crawford Won’t Fight Fundora, Bout Postponed

According to ESPN insider Mike Coppinger, junior middleweight champions Terence Crawford (WBA) and Sebastian Fundora (WBC and WBO) have postponed their fight.

The fighters had ten days to negotiate their bout. However, one day before the deadline, they informed the WBO that they had reached an agreement to postpone their fight to the second half of 2025.

Now, Fundora will have the opportunity to make a voluntary defense in early 2025, with a likely opponent being Errol Spence, as was previously planned. It remains unclear whether Crawford will fight in early 2025.

Fundora’s promoter, Sampson Lewkowicz, expressed his frustration, stating that Terence pulled out of negotiations for the fight with his client.

The only one hurt by this is Fundora and his interest in fighting in December. They waited until the last day. It’s disgraceful. Fundora was the only one eager to fight.

We’ve agreed to revisit this after the next bout, but who knows if Terence will be there or if he’ll have another fight,” said Lewkowicz.
