Conor Benn: “This year I become WBC welterweight world champion”

29-year-old British welterweight Conor Benn has named his main goal for 2026.

“This year I become WBC welterweight world champion,” Benn wrote on X (Twitter).

Earlier Benn was appointed mandatory challenger to the winner of the bout between WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios and Ryan Garcia.

In November Conor Benn (24-1, 14 KOs) avenged his only defeat to Chris Eubank Jr — Benn won by unanimous decision and scored a knockdown in the 12th round.
