British boxer Conor Benn (23-0, 14 KOs) criticized WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis (30-0, 28 KOs) for taking a fight against WBA super featherweight titleholder Lamont Roach (25-1-1, 10 KOs).
“Gervontapalumpa, you turned down at least $15 million (weren’t willing to negotiate) to fight me and chose to fight this guy,” Benn wrote.
Gervonta Davis and Lamont Roach will meet on December 14 in Houston, USA.
In June, Gervonta knocked out Frank Martin (18-1, 12 KOs) in the 8th round. That same month, Roach stopped Fergal McCrory (16-1, 8 KOs) by technical knockout, also in the 8th round.
Conor Benn last fought in February against Peter Dobson (16-2, 9 KOs), winning by unanimous decision.
