British promoter Frank Warren shared the prerequisites for a Deontay Wilder vs. Anthony Joshua fight to be a go:
"Pre-Parker clash, Wilder threw ultimatums left and right, yet we never got any solid proof.
He needs a real slobberknocker to punch his ticket back to the big leagues. Joseph Parker's performance can't be ignored. Joe really brought his A-game hats off to him.
A.J. facing Wilder? Only if Wilder pulls off something spectacular to reignite that spark," Warren remarked.
A spring 2024 showdown between Joshua and Wilder was on the cards. On December 23, Anthony triumphed over Otto Wallin early, while Deontay took a loss to Joseph Parker by the judges' call.
