Dubois' Corner: No Rush to Face Fury in the Ring

British heavyweight Daniel Dubois' coach, Don Charles, shared why he's hesitant to pit Dubois against WBC champion Tyson Fury for the next bout.

"Let's talk about moving from Jarrell Miller to Tyson Fury. Remember, Dubois is only 26. Is Dubois taking on Fury right after beating Miller? That's rushing it. Why the hurry? It's all about taking it one step at a time.

He's up and up, picking up new skills and building on his strengths. To shake off the slip-ups we saw in Riyadh against Miller, we've got to work on them for the future. Stagnation? Not in this game.

I'm aiming to keep Daniel's record spotless for a while longer. The trick? Don't rush the lad. He's just hit 26. Remember, super heavyweights hit their stride around 28, 29, 30. So, this guy's just getting started," stated Charles.

On December 23, Dubois clinched an early victory over Jarrell Miller. With just ten seconds left, following a relentless offensive by Dubois, the ref called the fight.

Fury and Dubois are both under the banner of promoter Frank Warren.
