28-year-old American, holder of the IBF, WBA, WBC, WBF, and WBO middleweight titles, Claressa Shields (14-0, 2 KOs), is confident in her victory over former world champion American Keith Thurman (30-1, 22 KOs).
"Thurman isn't that great of a boxer. Is he strong? Yes. But what else? Tim Tszyu will kick Thurman's butt.
I'm a woman, but I'm bigger than Thurman. I'm taller than him and I have better skills. How will he withstand my punches? Thurman can't hide his body," Shields stated.
This isn't the first time Claressa has targeted Keith. Last time, they even verbally agreed to a charity exhibition fight.
Thurman hasn't fought since 2022 when he won by decision against Mario Barrios. His next fight is scheduled for March 30th against Tim Tszyu (24-0, 17 KOs). Shields juggles careers in both boxing and MMA. Her last boxing match was in the summer of 2023, where she won by decision against Marcela Cornejo (18-6, 7 KOs).
