On the night of May 18 in Germany, Ukrainian welterweight (up to 66.7 kg) Karen Chukhadzhyan (24-2, 13 KOs) defeated Briton Harry Scarff (13-3, 3 KOs) by unanimous decision.
After the fight, the newly appointed official IBF title contender and Ready To Fight ambassador commented on his victory.
«I'm pleased with the victory, but there are still aspects to work on. This fight was a good experience for me. The opponent didn’t surprise me much; he fought exactly as we expected. He takes a punch well, I landed a lot of shots to his body, but he stood his ground.
After that loss (to Jaron Ennis), we made many conclusions. There was a lot of work on mistakes, so next time I will show a better version of myself. I feel that I’m improving from fight to fight, and now I’m much stronger than I was a year and a half ago,» said Karen.
