Chukhadzhian on Rematch with Ennis: "This Time It Will Be Different"

Ukrainian boxer and Ready to Fight ambassador Karen Chukhadzhian (24-2, 13 KOs) shared his thoughts on the upcoming bout against IBF welterweight champion Jaron Ennis (32-0, 29 KOs) from the USA.

– Do you feel any pressure fighting a top American in his hometown of Philadelphia?

– "No pressure. There’s motivation. Because I didn’t perform that well in the first fight, and I have something to prove. I was the underdog then, and I still am now. No one expects anything from me, so there’s no pressure. I’ll be proving to myself that I can do it.

And this time, we have much more time and many more opportunities to prepare well for this fight. That’s why I think this time it will be different. Plus, I’ve already fought him; I know him now. We have a pretty good idea of what he’ll change in his boxing, and we know what we’ll change in ours. The fight will be more interesting this time."

The rematch between Karen Chukhadzhian and Jaron Ennis will take place on November 9 in Philadelphia, USA. In their first fight, which took place in January 2023, the American won by unanimous decision.
