"He Deserved It" – Eubank Has No Regrets Over Egg Incident

IBO middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. (34-3, 25 KOs) has no remorse for cracking a raw egg over the head of his upcoming opponent, Conor Benn (23-0, 14 KOs). In fact, he doubled down, calling Benn and his promoter, Eddie Hearn, "the dirtiest characters in boxing."

"Did I cross the line? I think a lot of lines have been crossed over the last two and a half years throughout this whole saga.

Today, I sit on stage with the two dirtiest figures in boxing. One is a cheat who took banned substances, and the other did everything in his power to help him get away with it.

So, when I threw an egg at a guy who absurdly claims contaminated eggs were the reason he failed two drug tests, I think it was a small gesture—and one he absolutely deserved.

He deserved the humiliation he got. If I had the chance to do it again, I would. Unfortunately, I came unarmed today. They searched me thoroughly multiple times—I couldn’t sneak anything in," Eubank Jr. stated.

The grudge match between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn is set for April 26 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, UK.

During their first face-off, Eubank cracked an egg on Benn’s head while holding it in his hand. Security immediately stepped in to prevent the altercation from escalating further.
